It's Groundhog Day... again
Just like Punxsutawney Phil, time to stick my head out and see what's going on out there.
Work is work... I got approved for an "interim" reasonable accommodation to work from home while I wait to get paired with a service dog from Freedom Service Dogs. I applied last year and was told the wait list could be as long as two years, but hopefully I get a partner sooner than that. In anticipation I had submitted a request to bring a dog into the office. The response was "go home and work from there." I am not complaining. 😉
I was elected as the quartermaster for our local VFW Post last spring. I'm a little more than 1/2 way through my one year tour, but I think I'm going to run for re-election now that I have a grip on what I'm supposed to be doing.... Kind of.
Let's see... what else? We booked a vacation for ourselves for later this summer to celebrate all the things 2026: Ladybug graduates college. Wife reaches a milestone birthday and we hit 30 years on the wedding train. Figure all that is worth a trip to the Old World for a bit.
